Liz grew up figure skating and dancing in the Northern Chicago suburbs, developing a love for fitness at a young age. She also enjoyed the social community that dance and fitness brought to her life. She first became exposed to yoga through skating and dance, but instantly knew she wanted to learn more about the practice. Liz became involved in her college yoga community at Bowdoin College in Brunswick, Maine and helped lead the Bowdoin College Yoga Club from 2010-2012. After college, Liz continued to keep up with yoga and dance while pursing graduate school in cognitive psychology. As a current doctoral student at the University of Chicago, she joined the University of Chicago ballet and decided to pursue teaching barre and yoga. Liz loves the balance that teaching yoga and barre provide to her academic pursuits. She hopes to create the same community and stress-relieving space for her clients during their busy lives!
