JJ grew up playing almost every sport and training in the gym in order to improve his performance. After high school, his focus shifted from sports to strength and conditioning training. He realized that there was a fundamental lack of scientifically based knowledge in this industry. Instead it was fueled by stories of exercises or diets that seemed to work for one person but had know proof or reasoning that it would work for someone else.
Therefore, he decided to pursue a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree and obtain a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist certification, in order to gain a complete understanding of the anatomical and physiological workings of the human body. His goal is to combine this knowledge with up-to-date research on the efficacy of exercises, nutrition, and training programs to provide clients with the best possible advice. As a result, clients can train smarter in order to achieve there goals more effectively and efficiently.
