Margaret’s passion for Pilates emerged after she sustained a dance injury. She discovered and began practicing Pilates to rebuild her foundation and strength, and loves sharing this with others! Learn more about Margaret in our Q&A below.
What motivated you to begin training & leading Pilates?
I was first motivated to begin a Pilates practice to help me build back strength after a dance injury. Pilates helped me balance out my body and I began teaching Pilates so I could help others do the same.
How would you describe your training personality?
My training personality is a little bit spunky. I am very encouraging and all about positive energy. I have been told I am super tough but in the nicest way possible 🙂
What advice do you have for people that are just getting into fitness?
For people just getting into working out my best advice is to be patient and kind to yourself. Take the time to build a strong foundation and be wary of pushing too hard too soon.
What’s your favorite workout & why?
Although I love Pilates, my favorite workout is actually a really tough HIIT class with lots of creative cardio and explosive movements. I love the adrenaline rush and the feeling of power that comes from completing it.
What’s your favorite Thanksgiving dish?
Apple pie with cinnamon ice cream and some hot tea on the side!
